Financial Planning and Second Opinions
How We Work With You — Clearly, Fairly, and Intentionally
At Ametrine Wealth Strategies, we believe professional advice has value — and that clarity begins with understanding how, when, and at what level advice is delivered.
Not every individual needs the same depth of analysis, and not every relationship begins the same way. Our approach is designed to respect both your time and ours, provide meaningful insight without pressure, and allow you to engage with us at the level that makes sense for your situation — without obligation to retain the firm.
Depending on your needs, complexity, and the nature of our initial conversations, certain steps within this engagement framework may be combined or bypassed. Not every engagement follows a linear path, and the appropriate level of analysis or service is determined collaboratively based on your objectives.
Our first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family. We want to learn more about your personal situation, identify your dreams and goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. Long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of my foundation of success.
Our Four-Step Engagement Framework
Step One: Introductory Conversation
30–45 Minutes | No Cost
This initial conversation is intended to understand your situation at a high level, discuss goals or concerns, and determine whether further analysis would be helpful.
No formal analysis, recommendations, or written deliverables are provided at this stage, and there is no obligation to proceed. This conversation helps establish whether additional engagement would be valuable.
Step Two: Financial Review & Second Opinion
Flat Fee: $250 | Standalone Engagement
For individuals seeking clarity, perspective, or a professional second opinion, we offer a fee-based Financial Review Consultation.
This engagement typically includes:
- A high-level review of financial statements, accounts, or planning questions
- Identification of potential risks, inefficiencies, or areas requiring attention
- Professional observations and guidance delivered verbally
This step is designed for those who want informed insight without committing to ongoing services. Many clients use this engagement to confirm they are on the right path or to better understand what they should be mindful of moving forward.
Step Three: Comprehensive Financial Planning (When Warranted)
Fee-Based | Scope-Defined Engagement
In situations where deeper analysis is appropriate, we may recommend comprehensive financial planning.
Financial success isn’t only about investments — it’s about ensuring your resources align with your life, values, and long-term vision.
True financial security also requires thoughtful attention to protecting income, preserving assets, and preparing for the financial impact of unexpected life events.
When engaged, our planning process follows a CFP®- and IARFC-aligned framework, supported by Envestnet | MoneyGuide technology and additional planning tools such as Holistiplan to evaluate tax-aware considerations in context.
Planning work may include:
- Asset allocation and portfolio diagnostics
- Cash flow and income analysis
- Risk exposure and longevity testing
- Tax-aware strategy evaluation
- Protection planning review
- Estate and legacy alignment
This engagement results in a written plan and implementation roadmap.
Planning fees vary based on scope and complexity and may be updated from time to time.
Clients may choose to implement recommendations independently or with professional support.
Step Four: Ongoing Wealth Management (Optional)
Advisory Fee-Based Relationship
If you choose to retain the firm for ongoing wealth management, planning work may be incorporated into an advisory relationship, and the advisory fee applies in place of standalone planning fees.
